Montreal, January 30, 2017 – The Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) is saddened by the terrorist attack that took place yesterday in a Mosque in Quebec City.

“Our hearts are with the families of the victims of this atrocious and unnecessary assault,” said QESBA President Jennifer Maccarone. “It has directly impacted student communities in one of our member boards and our French sister boards, it is imperative that our politicians do everything in their power to ensure that ALL citizens of Quebec and Canada are protected from hate crimes,” concluded the President.

QESBA is the voice of English public education in Quebec representing 100,000 students.
