Montreal, February 1, 2018 – The Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) is thrilled to announce three principals from our network have been chosen as exceptional educators from across Canada for exemplary leadership.

The Learning Partnership’s “Canada’s Outstanding Principals” recognizes outstanding contributions of principals in publicly funded schools. It honours principals from across Canada who demonstrate innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and who have done something truly remarkable in public education.  

The official announcement:

  • Beryl Boyle, GaspĂ© Elementary and Belle Anse Elementary Schools, Eastern Shores School Board.
  • Alan Simoneau,  Lake of Two Mountains High School, Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board; and
  • Joseph Vitantonio, Lester B. Pearson High School, English Montreal School Board.

“Our teachers are among the best in the world and we are so proud that they are being recognized by an important education partner. Teachers have the responsibility of guiding and educating our collective future and it’s important for us to underline their successes,” said QESBA President Jennifer Maccarone.

“On behalf of QESBA, congratulations to Mrs. Boyle, Mr. Simoneau and Mr. Vitantonio for this prestigious award,” concluded the President.

QESBA is the voice of English public education in Québec and represents 100,000 students in 340 element.
