Montréal, August 26, 2025 - As students across the province prepare to return to class, the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) extends its best wishes to all students, teachers, administrators, school staff, and parents for a successful 2025-2026 school year.

Back-to-school is an important moment to celebrate the accomplishments of Quebec’s nine English school boards and to reaffirm our shared commitment to providing the highest-quality education for our 100,000 youth and adult learners. Our school boards continue to achieve success rates well above the provincial average. This achievement reflects the innovation, dedication, and perseverance of our educators, students, and communities.

QESBA wish to recognize the extraordinary efforts of all school, centre, and head office personnel and its administration, whose commitment ensures that the well-being and needs of students always come first. Your dedication and hard work are at the heart of every success story in our English education system.

“School Board Councils are the only elected bodies with the specific mandate to represent the English-eligible community in one of the most important public responsibilities – educating our students. The QESBA will continue to advocate for the protection of our rights and the respect of our community,” said QESBA President Joe Ortona.

“Our students will always remain at the heart of every discussion, and the strength of our collective voice reinforces this commitment. QESBA’s role, as always, is to ensure that this voice continues to be strong, united, and influential in shaping the future of English public education in Quebec,” concluded the President.

Once again, QESBA warmly welcomes everyone back and extends its best wishes to all members of our education community for an inspiring and successful 2025-2026 school year.

QESBA is the voice of English public education in Québec and represents 100,000 students in more than 300 elementary and high schools, as well as adult and vocational centres across the province.
